A lot of failed devices are not truly unrecoverable. The issue is that the storage cannot be accessed safely until the board, power path, enclosure, or controller issue is understood. That is where board-level experience matters.
We prioritize preserving the best chance of getting your files back. In some jobs that means minimal powering and controlled imaging. In others it means repairing the surrounding electronics just enough to access the storage safely. Either way, the goal is the data, not a rushed hardware guess.
