PS5 Dead After
Power Outage?
We Fix That.
Storm knocked out the power. PS5 won't turn on now. We diagnose and repair the exact component that failed — power supply, mainboard, HDMI retimer — at the board level.

Common symptoms after a power outage or surge
What Causes Power Surge Damage
Understanding what happened inside your PS5
Power Outage Damage
Console was on during a blackout. The inrush current when power returned damaged internal components.
Lightning Strike / Surge
Nearby lightning or a grid surge sent a voltage spike through the power line, frying protection circuits.
Brown-Out / Unstable Power
Repeated under-voltage events stressed the power regulation circuitry until components failed.
Bad Surge Protector / No Protection
Connected to a cheap power strip that offered no real surge protection. Components took the full hit.
How We Diagnose & Fix It
Board-level power surge repair. No guesswork.
Power Supply Unit
We test the PSU for output voltage, ripple, and failed protection components. If the PSU is dead, we determine if the fault is internal to the PSU or caused by a downstream mainboard short pulling it down.
Mainboard Power Rails
We probe every major power rail — 12V, 5V, 3.3V, 1.8V, APU core voltage. A surge typically kills the weakest link in the chain. We find which rail is shorted or missing.
HDMI Retimer & Output
The HDMI retimer chip is extremely surge-sensitive. We check for shorts around the retimer and replace the chip if it took the hit — a common cause of "turns on but no video" after a power event.
Component-Level Repair
Once we identify the failed component — MOSFET, capacitor, retimer, filter — we replace it under magnification. No board swaps. Your data, games, and PSN account stay intact.
